Background
Following graduation from law school, John served as a Law Clerk to the Hon. Gerald Bard Tjoflat, U.S. Court of Appeals, Eleventh Circuit. John returned to Lynchburg in 1999, after practicing in Alabama, and was admitted to the Virginia Bar and joined Edmunds & Williams that year. He is a member of the Lynchburg, Virginia, and American Bar Associations as well as a member of the Alabama State Bar and is also admitted to practice in the federal courts of the Western District of Virginia.
John grew up in Lynchburg and lives there with his wife and three young children. He is a Deacon at First Presbyterian Church and serves as a Commissioner on the Lynchburg Redevelopment and Housing Authority. John is an avid golfer and runner when not working or corralling his three children.
