Background
Rick was admitted to the Virginia Bar in 1991. After practicing in Richmond, Virginia for three years, Rick joined Edmunds & Williams and returned to Lynchburg. He is a member of the Lynchburg and Virginia Bar Associations, as well as the Virginia State Bar (Circuit Representative 1992-1994, Editor, The Bankruptcy Law Newsletter 1992-1998). Rick has served as an adjunct professor at Lynchburg College, teaching business law courses to both undergraduates and students in the MBA program. Rick currently serves as the chairman of the Board of Managers of the Center for Restorative Care, a long term acute care hospital located in Lynchburg, Virginia.
Rick was born in Charlottesville, Virginia and grew up primarily in Lynchburg. He, his wife and their three children continue to reside in Lynchburg. Rick is actively involved with St. John's Episcopal Church and is an avid runner and photographer.
